One of my Dad’s WW2 stories was about coming home for leave. While he was waiting for his bus ride, he did a little window shopping. A walking cane caught his eye so he purchased it. When he made it home his mother saw him get off the bus and ran to meet him. As she caught sight of the cane, she collapsed thinking that he had been injured. This happened a few months after they had buried my dad’s brother who had died flying fighter planes.
Dad felt guilty about upsetting her like that for many years.
I Real Life, weren’t he and his wife stranded somewhere when COVID first broke out. It was weeks before they could go home. I want to say “Australia” but I could be wrong and I am too lazy to look it up.
Another commie with TDS. Enjoy your fantasy world while you can.
