   No peafowl where I live but lots of turkeys.

   They were mating & I saw a lot of toms showing off.

   On a vacation we visited the Waccatee Zoo near Myrtle Beach.

   There were peafowl walking freely around the grounds, one of them encountered a little girl about 2 years old. He spread his tail feathers & started rattling them, she started crying & quickly retreated to her mother. The feathers were almost a foot higher than she was tall so I could see how it might be scary.
