BaconBoyCamper Free

Old retired (April 01 2009) railwayman living in Calgary Alberta Canada. I was always very interested in antique cars, finally bought a 1928 Early AR Ford in 1989. My Moniker comes from me cooking 22 kilos of bacon on a griddle for about 35 other campers on long-weekend Monday morning... You can contact me at . . . . . . resumlak (at) telus.net ************ Current cat overlords: *TOTEM* -- A foundling kitten just days old, found in a Totem Building Supplies parking lot in 35C heat in a small city south of us (May 2007). *NUBI* -- Ex-barn kitten named because he is a “Noobie” and because he does look like he is from Nubia (at daughter’s wedding, Aug 2013). *MANGO* -- A rescue adoption returnee (returned several times apparently) (born Apr 2016, adopted Aug 2017).

My wife and I have separate ashers. She wanted us both to be placed into a cookie container, but I didn’t wanna cause I hate having crumbs in bed. So, separate ashers, nicely made, inlaid wood on the top, entirely olive wood, very beautiful. Mine darker than hers.

    Sad times, fur now…

But, on a happier note, Queen of America is contemplating some new "charges" in her home, in addition to the orange family from a couple of weeks ago.

    From QoA:

“Last weekend, someone took a ‘stray’ to the local shelter.  The shelter is suddenly no longer taking cats.  No idea why.  She said they would take kittens and sick ones and pregnant ones but refused this one.

So, Dr Susan took her.  The new Mama looks just like Moose.   On the night of the 25th, she had two babies.  Both were breeches.  Susan had to pull them out, dry them and get them to breathe.  She said it was a close call for both.  But once they could, they went right for nursing.  One is solid grey and one is solid white.

During visitation on Sunday, we noticed that Mama takes good care of them but doesn’t stay in the box with them all of the time.  Susan said she wants petties and company.

As for the shelter, we are clueless.  We know the police chief hates cats so maybe it was his decision.   Robyn told Dr Susan she was told that cats can ‘find their way home’.  Really?  There is SO much wrong with that sentence I don’t even know where to begin.”

Now, here are a few photos of the new family.  Hopefully these direct links work straight-out with the Neil Wicks bookmarklets or failing that, just copy and paste into an open browser (and NOT into a search engine):

I’m not the originator, I came across a commenter on another strip who had somehow posted a link to YouTube which piqued my curiosity; I took a copy of it and played around with it.  I’m not certain, but it appears that just as long as you don’t put the initial part of the address and capitalize the “C” as shown, it works, but there has to be text (as a placeholder) before you enter the address (minus the initial part), otherwise you get the usual problems.  Works with the Neil Wicks bookmarklet or if you copy and paste into the address bar at the top (not into a search engine).  Worked last night, it may not work tomorrow, MYMV.  GC is constantly evolving the “/” thing…  I’ve done some links from IMGUR and YouTube, even from CG itself, so far so good.
