couldn’t you just turn all the equipment SIDEWAYS? Everything would work just fine! This must have been a US Congress’s playground plan…

Today’s comic for some reason really, really touched me deeply. I am actually in tears. Makes me treasure the moments coming up when my own children are going to imagine a world with friends like these.

“don’t” should be “won’t” in the 4th panel, and that would make grammatical sense. But no spell/grammar checkers in hand drawn cartoons :/

Ed, I find your commentary about what happened to your comic strip as interesting as anything you ever did as an artist for your strip. Would there be any way you could write a full article or story about your overall experience? It’s great to get it in little bits and pieces like this but I would be fascinated to read the entire story from start to finish about what happened in one, single, continuing story…?

I had math class with a very strange dude named Fillmore Love, whose parents spent too much time on Haight Street in the 60’s.

In Fred Bassett today, Fred is shown helping his owner by batting the ball around and towards the hole when nobody is looking. Maybe Ralph can borrow Fred to teach his wiener dog how to do the same trick?

I took allergy shots, 1 a month for 15 years. I used to be allergic to all animals, dust, pollen, grass and even oranges. Now I am only allergic to cats, but I have been a proud owner of a dog (who sheds like crazy) for the last 11 years. They do work, although they are a pain to get, literally!

Wow John, I knew we had something in common— I was an Atari 800 owner. That computer was WAY ahead of its time; first computer of its era to use separate chips to handle graphics and sound. Love that display list interrupt! And the GTIA chip! My 800 still works, and when my 1 1/2 year old twins are old enough, I’m going to fire it up and show them what that retro Atari logo is ALL about!
