Killing another human is not murder. It is homicide. Homicide is illegal only under certain specified circumstances, as defined by law. Not all illegal homicides are murder, btw. In some circumstances, failure to engage in homicide is illegal, e.g., failure follow a lawful order during warfare. I would propose, during warfare, one should be required to eat what one kills.

You left out democracy, republics, oligarchy, etc., etc. BTW, every form of government is based on a social contract of one form or another, i.e., is “socialist.”

The only time I’ve seen a bird burst into flames was during a thunder/lightning storm … several hours after sunset. OTOH, Kate’s explanation makes it perfectly clear why the summit of Mt. Everest, the “closest place to the sun” on the planet is perpetually covered with snow. LOL.

Good call. A while back I did some rough calculations on how much energy it would take to stop the earth’s rotation. Don’t remember the exact number I came up with but it was something like 10 billion 50megaton hydrogen bombs, simultaneously, in the same location at the the correct angle. :)

Magdala666, can I dodge that by noting that, recently, the term “actress” is being dropped in favor of generic “actor,” by both female performers themselves and others? … so I’ll maintain my use of “god” is intended to be likewise generic. :)
