   I get so many little note pads and address labels from places wanting donations – not sure what makes them think that is going to push me to donate just the opposite, they are bad at handling money. Worse on is St. Jude’s Hospital – promising T-shirts and they send address labels and/or note pads with their request for money. It really ticks me off that they spend money on marketing instead of treatment and research. I guess it must guilt enough people to donate to where they are making more than their marketing costs – still will not get me to donate when you send me stuff in the mail

   kids have no fear of saying things wrong, it is why they should start teaching kids Spanish and English – depending which one they know better, in Kindergarten and all they way through 12th grade. Seems everywhere in usa hear people speaking spanish. I’m not one of them, never took language in school…..in 7th grade a friends family went on vacation for 2-3 weeks to a spanish speaking country, his 5yr old brother came back speaking almost fluent spanish. I asked him what he learned – picked up the necessities

    we recycle cardboard boxes, DH waits until we have a huge stack then loads them up and takes to recycle. We pay 10 cents on cans, bottles in MI so we definitely take them back, and run them through their recycle machine counter, take tickets to customer service or give to check out clerk and they take $$ of your groceries. We don’t have a newspaper in our town, have the next one up online. I loved recycle in Fla, cans, bottles, glass jars, rinse and all went in blue bag, trash picked up recycle every 2 weeks
