   In my state you can’t be fired for having kids, not having kids isn’t protected. Plus, suing is expensive. I didn’t have a recording and if asked he could easily say I was the newest employee so had the least seniority or something else. Remember, it’s not illegal unless you can prove it.

    Once I got laid off because the other two people in the department were married with kids while was single and childless. The boss said one person had to go and he picked the one that would do the least damage.
