Sabrina: Sabrina's Sixty-plus Escort Service. Woman: Hello... I'm having trouble with my kids... they watched a 1950s sitcom rerun last week. Sabrina: And? Woman: They want a grandmother who can make them a Jell-O mold with fruit inside! Sabrina: Well... that's kinda kinky, but I think I have someone... Woman: Please! I'll pay anything!
I make this every big holiday meal.1. Drain a can of pineapple rings. Return pineapple to the can.2. Mix a small package of green jello, but when it’s time to add the cold water, only use half as much as the package directs.3. Pour the liquid jello into the can with the pineapples, filling to the brim. (There will be some jello left over.)4. Refrigerate until set.5. Cut out the bottom of the can and push out the jello. You will have a can-shaped blob of jello with pineapple rings neatly lined up inside it.
I learned this in 7th grade home ec in the mid 60s.
