I live in a small town in southern Wisconsin (population around 1600). I love animals, especially cats and dogs and I am known as Mom by a bunch of cats. I like gardening (both vegetables and flowers) and I like to read. I also like writing and I have published a chidren's book called Wanda Weird. It's the story of a nine-year-old girl who is bullied by some mean girls in her class and how she learns to deal with them. I work in the garden center at a Walmart in Madison, WI. In the off season, I work in back-to-school, Halloween, Christmas, etc. AKA - "Seasonal". But garden season is by far my favorite.

What about Annie, Chesney? Maybe she’d like to go to Rome or Vienna. But she stays right there taking care of you. You’re lucky to have her.

Oliver is probably the only cat in the world the birds can count on for that job. Most other cats see birds as cat food.

From yesterday’s comments, king about Walmart remodeling their stores, zippykatz said, “I was told that Corporate wanted all the stores in the chain to be consistent. As I told our manager: 90% of your customers use just this one store because it’s the one nearest them. We don’t care about other stores’ layouts since we seldom shop there! Duh…”

That is true. Corporate wants the stores to be consistent in their layouts. They redid our store a couple years ago, and while I finally got used to where things are, I still hate how they redid it. Sure, some stuff was improved, like moving peanut butter and jelly to the same aisle as the bread, but so much other stuff is totally screwed up. And a lot of the aisles are too narrow. I hate the layout of the housewares and domestics departments (like bedding, curtains, towels, dishes, pots & pans and furniture too). It made much more sense the way we had it before. But making sense does not seem to be Walmart policy.
