I used to give my kids cash. A 10 year old with $100 bill was a joy to watch and listen to all day. The stories of what they were going to get with “all that money”. Now I give the grand-kids prepaid Visa cards and let them go, with Mom’s permission or supervision. Amazon, ebay and game stuff…Poof, it’s gone by lunch.

Gift cards sure. Credit cards never!

A local NFL player was handing out gift cards to kids in front of a Walmart yesterday. Same thing.

i did that with my 6 and 5 year old grandsons for Christmas, gave them toys’r’us gift cards…littlest one went in walked up to return center in front, showed them card and called out ’i’ve got a card …wrap up the store!!’
