I have a bit of a problem with the Madonna/Whore complex myself. No, not that Madonna. Thinking a girl is untouchable pure until you find out she’s not, then thinking she is untouchable dirty.
If this strip weren’t signed (and if it didn’t have the undergraduate grammatical error) I would have guessed that it was a Feiffer cartoon from the mid-late 60’s, vice Brethed’s in ‘78. It’s amazing how much his early artwork shows how he learned from a master before moving on to refine a more personal style. If some art historian were to discover this strip some centuries from now, it might be labelled “From the school of…”
