When I worked at Publix in the days before we had the bar-code scanners a few of the cashiers and stock boys would have a bit of fun using the intercom and calling out for price checks on certain items such as prophylactics, personal feminine products etc. My fave was when one of the guys would call on a price check for one of the items from the British import section: Heinz Spotted Dick……
