Laura: Instead of griping, I would've thought you'd be elated your softball game got rained-out tonight. Y'know, to rest your injured leg. Adam: Yeah, well, you just don't realize how much I look forward to softball. Laura: Yeah, well, d'ya think I look forward to your incessant complaining, which seems to follow every ache and pain you get from playing softball?! Adam: Hardly!! Oh, and like who's doing the complaining right now. Laura: You started this! Adam: No! John Chelminiak did when he slid into me hard at second base about six years ago the week after I'd hurt my back reaching for a high throw.
