Adam: Oh, no!...The police!! I can explain everything, officer! I was drinking a latte on my way back from the store...I could barely hold it it was so hot...and then I hit a pothole and dropped it on my lap. That's why I was driving so erratically, officer. Police officer: Well...at the very least, I should cite you for not having an insulated commuter mug with a sip latch. As well as driving without proper cup holders. But I won't. Instead, I'll get on the city to fill in that dangerous road hazard. Adam: Thank you, officer. I knew he'd understand, after all - cops, doughnuts and a cup of "joe" are part of our caffeine culture. Officer: And don't forget to ask your barista to fix your lattes a few degrees cooler, too! Think I'll stop for a biscotti and an espresso on my way back to the station.
