Laura: I need to get you some new trunks. Adam: Nonsense. These are classics. Laura: Didn't you buy those to celebrate the release of Windows NT? Adam: Sure did. That O.S. changed my life. Laura: Wasn't that, like, 1993? Adam: Uh-huh. Seems like only yesterday, though. Laura: But who wears a flannel bathing suit? Adam: You'll remember that "grunge" had a wide influence on fashion back then.

Somethings never go out of style–Windows NT & flannel swimwear. Their both uncomfortable to use, but they work. Windows is still a monopoly with 88.42 percent market share as of February 2009. Talk about market influence. I tried using Linux on an older computer, but it had performance issues when playing online videos. You stick with what you’re used to – good ol’ flannel Windows.

Ladies, this is truly how guys are! We don’t throw anything out.
Shoes…wallets…a favorite shirt. Eventually, everything comes back in style.
Besides, well-worn clothing is very, very comfortable.
And it’s not that we’re cheap…we just don’t like to shop!

I agree - men (except for Doc & maybe a few others) never throw away worn-out clothing - it just goes to the back of the closet. My guys might ask that I repair something so they can keep wearing it, but if it gets tossed, I’m the one who has to do it. My husband will go clothes shopping if I go with him, but he hates to do it by himself. My sons would prefer I buy the clothes, and return what doesn’t fit or they don’t like. (I usually make them come along, unless I’m sure of the size & style, because I hate to return things.)

I thought Women were the ones who monopolized closet space. I don’t like shopping either, but clothing does wear out and I don’t keep what I can’t wear or no longer stand. Before I buy something new, something else must go.

since these guys’ idea of a day at the beach is the backyard blowup kiddie pool, who cares what he wears?

I had a favorite short sleeved shirt that was seersucker. It was so comfortable that I wore it until it literally disolved off of my back.

You guys were right about one thing……Adam’s wife is definitely too hot for him! On the other hand……she doesn’t have to worry too much about some other woman wanting to take him away from her!

carmy: LOL! You beat me to it Dry!
Cleo: I have clothes like that too. So did my dad. My mom is the only one with fashion sense in the family, (and my sister too.)
Doc: Ever heard of a needle and thread?
Good for you RRAmom! They’ll appreciate you for that.
Adam Isn’t flannel HOT? Oh, that’s why you are sitting in the kiddy pool!
