Adam: Okay. A new year. Time for some serious reflection. Time to write a letter to my 2010 self. Dear 2010 Adam. You had a pretty good year last year. Lots of laughs. Some challenges and heckuva lot of coffee. This year, you're going to spend more quality time with the kids, work smarter, not harder and be extra nice to Laura. If I had to sum it all up, I say what my dad used to: "Love many. Trust few. Always paddle your own canoe." Hey, Laura? Where do we keep our canoe? Laura: The years may change, but the Adam letter to his past self never does.

You know your house is too big when you own a canoe, and don’t remember where you put it. How the @#$% do you lose a canoe? :-)

Umm, James. There’s no canoe. That;s the joke.

A more interesting project would be for Adam to write a letter to his 2012 self then go back and read it next year.
