Adam; We should take measures into our own hands. Laura; You're finally going to get that Wurlitzer organ out of the basement? Adam; Huh? What? No. I'm talking about recycling. Laura; O...K... Adam; We need to advocate. Get the town institute a recycling program. Laura; As long as we can attach a provision that they'll get the Wurlitzer out of the basement, too.

@Susan Wurlitzer did make those big organs but they also made home model organs and other small scale instruments

If it’s that kind of obsession, then just bash it to pieces and take it out of the basement one piece at a time

Why not just give it away? Just sign your organ donor card!

When will people learn? Don’t haul your junk to the basement for future generations to deal with – THROW IT AWAY!!! I have two old washing machines in the basement, and the previous owner even hauled one up to the attic! Can’t figure out how, let alone why…

You know, between all this talk of Wurlitzers (think “double entendre) and how they’re drawn in today’s strip, doesn’t it strike anyone as funny that his first words are “we should take measures into our own hands?” Adam, you sly dog!

How big is that door down to the basement? The juke boxes were pretty big. Kind of like the guy building his boat in the basement. He took the wood down one piece at a time; no problem. Now when the assembled boat is ready to bring up ….Problem!

A recycling program is great, provided it is voluntary, and individuals are not forced to pay for it if they don’t wish to participate. If it is to be mandated then forget about a recycling program. The tree huggers can tote their own recycleables down to the recycling center.
