Secretary; Yes. Laura; Isn't that what a secretary does? Secretary; Do I come to your work and tell you how to be a housewife? Laura; Have you been checked for rabies?

I am a peaceful man, but I would like to pinch her

would the director have a beagle for a pet?
Cofyjunky about 12 years ago
THIS is the front-desk REPRESENTATIVE for an animal adoption center??? No administrator, or H.R. director would knowingly put such a nasty attitude front and center. Fire her!(I love the internet! We can complain about artwork with an attitude! LOL)

Who knows, maybe she’s a volunteer and works for fre. But still……………….

In the spirit of the place, I would forego complaints and just bite her.

“No, but I’m good at my job,”

Perhaps she’s a “volunteer” from a community service program and had a choice of doing volunteer work or going to jail.

@Doctor11 from yesterday: I agree, but someone has to complain to the boss or they might not know. I think Mrs. Newman is the customer to do it.
Frog-on-a-Log Premium Member about 12 years ago
Unfortunately, I run into “this girl” too many times nowadays.
celeconecca about 12 years ago
I do not keep my boss’ s calendar – she does – so there ARE times I don’t know where or when she is. But I’d never be rude about it, and I’d try to call her.

Doesn’t Ms Newman work outside the home?

This woman needs a SERIOUS attitude check.

Forget about rabies. Has she had her distemper shots?
cfrosenlof about 12 years ago
@cdward: Yes! @briatollah: Where is the tattoo? I don’t see it.
Piksea Premium Member about 12 years ago
I think I finally understand distemper!
Habogee about 12 years ago
She’s not a volunteer. I am a volunteer and I know that volunteers are universally friendly and helpful.

I think even PETA would agree that this is one bitch who should be put down.

Given the state of many “adoption” agencies for dogs and cats, this probably is the norm. A few friends of mine had to endure many questions and even a home visit before getting a cat or a dog.
MaryEMcGivern about 12 years ago
This storyline just shows that these guys have never adopted before. This doesn’t happen. It is hard enough to get people to adopt “used” dogs. They don’t do the attitude. I am finding this tiresome.
Comic Minister Premium Member about 12 years ago
No she has not been checked out for Rabies.
cbrsarah about 12 years ago
And why would she need to see the director? They have other things they need to do, not meet with every adopter who wants to adopt a pet. It’s the shelter staff that attend to the procedures and paper work, not the director. I’ve adopted dogs from a shelter so I know. My first job was with a shelter and we didn’t bother the director to meet everyone coming in the door to adopt a pet. And this gal needs to find other work. She is a very bad representation for the shelter.

I bought a new car off a lot but it hadn’t been prepped yet. The dealership had a woman like this; how she got hired, I don’t know, but she handled calls to the service area. She was so breathtakingly spitting mean to perfect strangers that I was convinced she would take a gun to somebody. I wrote a letter to the owner of the place describing exactly what she did and said and when—but it didn’t help. She stayed, and the whole dealership went under. About ten years ago. I have no doubt why it went out of business.
QuietStorm27 about 12 years ago
She’s definitely in the wrong line of work.
