Even if they are outdated, an encyclopedia is interesting, and some things don’t change. As Bruno suggests, it’s interesting to see how our view of the future changes.

My mom and I are huge readers. Years ago we came up with a trivia game using the old encyclopedia. 1 book random for each person. Open up anywhere and pick a subject from that line and see if the other person knows about it or read about it. I think this is one of the reasons I have so much random trivia stuck in my head 25 yrs later.

What’s it sound like, Adam? “Blub, blub, blub?” Or “Ssssssss?”

I remember an 1903 encyclopedia describing Uranium as a useless material.

I think he has a good idea for once.

And considering he hasn’t got a lot of brain to start with…
