Adam: Huhm? Wha? Katy: Dad, I think there's a monster under my bed. Adam: Probably not, honey. Monsters need sleep, too. Katy: Seriously, dad. Adam: So, did he grab your feet when you got out of bed? Katy: Well... No. Adam: Okay. Good. So he's not a very good monster, is he? I mean, worst case scenario, you have a lazy non-foot-grabbing monster. I wouldn't worry. Sounds like he's not really into his job. Katy: Yeah... I still need you to get out of bed and check. Adam: Fine. But he's probably under there reading a magazine or something.
I when my girls were afraid of monsters under the bed, I’d spray air-freshener there and in the closet. Monsters don’t like sweet smells. But you knew that.
