Laura: How's the book coming? Adam: Sigh. I don't know, Laura. Maybe I'm not cut out to be a novelist. Laura: Hey. I don't want to hear that kind of talk from you. Being a novelist is your dream, Adam. Adam: You're right. I mean, I have the tweed jacket and everything. Laura: And an ascot.

Everything? Do you have a pipe, Adam? You need a pipe. And don’t forget the elbow patches for your tweed jacket.

Maybe he needs a bow tie to go with that tweed jacket. Bow ties are cool.

Nice to see Laura encouraging her man! Too many women are made out to be witches in the comics.

I hate to break it to you, Adam, but novelists don’t dress like that. I’m not going to drop names, but I do know several personally, one who’s written several Best Sellers, and none of them wear that kind of clothing.

Boy, Harrell is so great at dialogue. This is one of my favorite strips now. Remember how awful it was before he took over? Amazing.
