Adam: What do you guys think? My old swimming hole! Clayton: It's squishy. Katy: Aaa! Something touched my leg! Adam: Yeah. This beats any man-made swimming pool, that's for sure. Clayton: I don't like not seeing the bottom! Katy: What was that?? Adam: My dad used to bring me here when I was a kid. Clayton: I think a horsefly flew up my nose! Katy: Something has my ankle!1 Clayton: It's in my brain!! Katy: Sentient mud weeds!! Laura: How was the swimming hole? Adam: Too much for the Purell generation.

I’ll stick with the ol’ cement pond. Don’t like the feeling that I need a shower after being in the ocean or lake.

We had a pool in our backyard when our kids were growing up, and I can relate taking the boat to a lake or river and not wanting to touch the murky stuff; however, having just returned from the Wisconsin Dells where my oldest daughter and I took a ride on a jet boat at the lower dells, all I can say is “what a rush!”
We got wet and not soaked, but I did manage to swallow a fair amount of river water that came over the bow, and it actually tasted a bit like salty tea; maybe it was all the tannin in the water…
