Why does that lady make me think of the woman swimming in the ocean at the beginning of “Jaws”? Better run if Katy starts singing"Dum DUM dum DUM dum DUM…" in a low tone.

    Just sayin’. ;-)

Leave the car doors unlocked, Adam. She’ll soon join you.

I used to have a lot of teenagers hanging out at my place and I always told them that they are welcome, but their attitudes were not

If they could not leave their attitude outside by itself, then they would have to stay out and keep it company

Dad’s attitude is not helpful here, but in tune with the character.

She is a teacher, so maybe she’s immune to the finger nails on a blackboard sound.

If you don’t want to do something, don’t do it well. Sit in the car and listed to Lady Ga Ga. Maybe Katy will be the new Tina Turner.

In that case, you can stand right next to your daughter during whole lesson.

Singing lessons are more useful to the challenged than to the already good. They have more room to improve. I took 3 years of voice lessons. Most of the benefit was in the first six months.

Let us not forget that the lady expects to be paid per lesson. Therefore the worse Katy sounds now, leaves oodles of room for incremental improvements at $50 a pop.

Not what you expect from parental support.
