The raisins are yummy

I don’t mind chocolate with raisins – but raisins alone… hmm yeah, it should be a crime

Or hard sour little apples that your mother puts in your lunch box the next day. The dentist down the street from us always handed those out. We went back every year…hoping. but,no… it was apples. sigh

My favorite were the tiny loaves of fresh Wonder Bread the baker gave out every year.

And a plague to those who give out pennies.

We tend to be away for Halloween (2nd worst birthday of the year – but at least I get to eat dinner now on same – mom always figured I would not want same due to candy ).

But since the pandemic we have been home. We have not had one trick or treater come to the house in the 2 years – and we have children in the house on either side of us. The ones to our north seemed to go to a party or something today in costume.

My nemesis was apples or sandwich bags of popcorn.

I had a couple of fundamentalist neighbors who handed out pennies attached to Bible quotes. We skipped their house.

All of thee costumes that he’s worn all month, and that the one he’s going trick or treating in?

Although Halloween is today, I don’t think this arc will end today.

Tomorrow, we’ll have to see how much candy the kids keep and how much their father confiscates!!

how about the Halloween molasses kisses? I love giving those out to kids especially if they have never had them before.

My dad was a dentist. We were the house with the little toothbrushes. sigh

raisins are sweet and delicious. a lot better than candy corn, for sure…

The weather guessers are saying it will be raining all day, but there were a number of trunk or treats in operation Sunday afternoon.

I’m pro-raisin. I feel that anything is acceptable in your own home. Well, maybe except Kale.

I suppose people have stopped giving out apples by now. All those stories about razors and needles in fresh fruit handed out to kids “in some other town.” I personally think the Hersheys advertising department started those rumors to crush the competition back in the day.

We had a couple old ladies in our neighborhood who did give out those little boxes of raisins.

Look up Krampus kid. Especially the YouTube videos from the Alpine regions.

I guess Katie decided not to wear a costume, that’s her normal attire.

What about giving out pennies? Does anyone still do that?
