Tree, tree, tree again
good luck “mitigating”
“And in the meantime, all YOUR presents are being returned to the stores, with the money going to buy a new tree!”
You can buff that out, trees are hardy.
Hey! Gumbo is a girl again!
For a little while Rob Harrell had forgotten that she was introduced as a female, but at some point he must have realized the inconsistency.
Just set the tree back up, and have Clayton sweep up the broken ornaments. Be sure to set Gumbo away from the broken glass/plastic on the floor.
Like the kids next door, “We didn’t throw/kick the ball over your fence, some squirrel/the wind, did it.”
In the Court of the Crimson (nosed) King
Third comic today that a Christmas tree has been knocked over.
Gumbo is OK, but you were still going to blame her!
“Are there no prisons?”
“Take that, Katy!”
I do not like any of the kids is all the cartoons I read except Petey and Doug
It’s not mitigating, Gumbo wouldn’t have been in peril had you not committed the act.
The actual tree is just fine. It’s all the fragile glass bulbs, etc. that are broken. Moral of the story: use popcorn garlands.
Gumbo’s face in the last panel is hilarious. “Let’s do it again!”
He broke my mother’s rule – no ball playing in the house! Not even Nerf balls were allowed as they could still knock things over.
“It’s OK, Dad. The only thing broken was that Christmas Squirrel.”
We actually tend to break ornaments when putting them on or taking them off the tree. Luckily they are usually the cheap balls – not the specialty ornaments.
