    They don’t raise many pigs outside anymore. It’s all done in confinement buildings, with slats in the floor and lagoons for the waste to gather in. The time you REALLY don’t want to be nearby is when they spread the manure on the farm fields. Just had that experience on a recent trip to Iowa, so take my word for it.

    I wondered why he’s so surprised that he’s approaching the pigs. He knows where the pig farm is and chose to travel on that road.

    Well, now I have to take a survey. This comic is brought to you by a childhood memory of a pig farm that had laundry hanging out to dry, which caused me to wonder how their clothes smelled.
