This reminds me of a webcomic that ended about 15 years ago. The epilogue was like this. The main character was aging so slowly that it was thousands of years in the future and he was the last person from Earth living among aliens. Unfortunately he was now middle-aged, fat, bald and lazy, and the aliens were appallingly dull.
