Its amazing how many of those nice people don’t come back

It a pain when they leave a full cart of groceries, especially when it has frozen and refrigerated stuff in it and it sits in the dairy cooler for a few hours or more

The only time I rermember doing that, I had left my wallet in my car. It was only a couple of minutes of pain for the people behind me in line.(pre-pandemic).

I worked in retail. People would leave frozen food all over the store. Sometimes they would hide the item behind other shelved merchandise.

In my dad’s dime store my mom had an encounter with a woman who found a coat on a sale rack that another customer had put there by mistake. My mom said, “I’m sorry, that’s not one of the coats that are in sale.” The customer said, “I can make you sell it to me for the sale price.” My mom, who could express herself very concisely, said, “How?”

Too bad the ones that threaten to never come back always return.

I used to be in the retail business myself and have always maintained that you need some customers like that lady in the top two panels. Customers like that help you appreciate the nice customers even more.
