Poor is a complicated “concept”. Suppose all the billionaires were to get together and give each “poor person” a thousand dollars. And all the poor people decided to buy a lobster dinner. But there aren’t enough lobsters to make all those dinners. So the price of lobsters would go up and the poor would still not have their dinners.
The problem isn’t poor, the problem is overpopulation. Philanthropic billionaires won’t eliminate poverty.

Just living in the US makes him richer, (in terms of reliable shelter and food), than at least 80% of the people in the world.
