I was accused in an interview of being a “job hopper”. I explained I had been a victim of Last-hired-first fired more and more often as time went on, being laid off and then taking short term contract jobs. I was always looking for an employment “home” – someplace to stay for 5-10 years. This had no effect on the interview team. Knowing I wasn’t going to get the job, I asked, “do you offer a pension?” The spokesman said they no longer offer pensions to new employees. I replied, “and with that policy you expect loyalty?”
