More stores should be like Sams where they check everything you buy matches the receipt. What we are seeing in some western states with the amount of walk in and take what you want is ridiculous and just increasing prices for us honest folks.
As a younger person, with longer hair and shabbier clothes, i was often tailed by store personnel ‘just because’ i fit a profile in their minds. People of colour, teenagers, or anyone perceived as “other” are unfortunately quite familiar with such surveillance.
i sometimes would greet my watcher with a nod & a smirk, hand them any merchandise i might have had in hand, and walk out without a purchase; they didn’t need my business.
Love the silhouette. In the mid ‘60s my dad’s dime store had a loft in the back room. There was a two way mirror there. You could watch the entire store from it.

When I see one of those Walmart monitors which shows me, I make faces at it. So far security hasn’t asked me to leave.
