Is a jug band “folk music”? Trout’s drums appear to be cooking pots and garbage cans, and that sort of percussion is pretty folky. I’m more concerned about Agnes’s electric guitar. Sure, it’s not plugged in, but it ain’t gonna play well in Newport. Just ask Dylan.

Folk singers rarely used drummers. Just saying. Tambourines were generally the limit.
