Looks like Agnes" Principal is a man. Is this the first time we’ve really seen him?

I think she is being a bit to unambiguous.

I quit school for moral reasons. it was the “principal of the thing”. Bwa, ha, ha, snort !

Love Agnes’s vocabulary. “Awash with tomfoolery …” Must remember that.

At least she’s added to her vocabulary by her reading of Mark Twain’s Huckleberry Finn and Tom Sawyer…..
