Agnes is never short on answers though.

The only reason she’s not in the principal’s office for this one is that her answer caused the teacher to break down in tears, exasperation and sighs, followed by the usual feelings of failure, anxiety and inadequacy.
Teacher should realize that the way she posed the question this is a correct answer.
