Scooby Doo was bad enough in the beginning but now the characters are several ounces short of a pound.

There’s a conversation on the Gay Geeks facebook group about this very subject. There’s a reboot of Thundercats coming, called Thundrcats Roar. It looks awful.

I didn’t mind the Taz reboot. He’s still better than most of the new classic (direct to video) Looney Tunes they were cranking out.

Maybe if we get enough signatures on a petition, we can get Chuck Jones to reopen Termite Terrace? Oh, that’s right. Wonder what Walter Lantz is up to?

World’s worst earworm: the Peter Potamus/Ricochet Rabbit end theme. Am I right?

Reboots most of the time can be hit or miss. Other times right in between.

Reboots can be an improvement. They can improve the dialogue, or add new aspects to the characters and the storyline. Or Reboots can be a quick cash grab that makes you wish they’d let the franchise be forgotten instead. The new Duck Tales is the first kind. The new Thundercats looks like it’s going to be the second kind.

I looked up the Thundercats reboot. It looks absolutely dreadful. The old one was dreadful, too, but in a different way.

I’m with Pop. The reboots of the classic animated cartoons are seldom as well drawn or as well written or as witty as the originals.
