In this vast mansion called the United States, North Dakota is that one room that is empty and undecorated which almost no one uses. It sits there without much care, but sometimes people come in there for a little fight or private matter and leave quickly again. I should know: I live there. Look at it this way. At least you don’t have bumper to bumper traffic and some idiot in front of you texting at a traffic light when it’s green.

It could be worse. There could be a 40 or 50 mile per hour north or south wind trying to blow them off the side of the road.
