I wish I had that last one for some of the men I’ve known. Happy Valentine’s Day.

I would most definitely buy these. P.S. Nothing wrong with being delightfully average! :-)

Why do people keep acting like these are so horrible? They’re no different from Necco wafers and people seem to love those. In fact, Necco makes these, don’t they? The chocolate ones are the best.

I suspect that Ash Wednesday won’t cut into the restaurant business today! A local church set up an Ash & Go station! You drive into the church parking lot, lower your window and get cross on your forehead and a quick prayer!!!! I swear it’s true!!!

Valentine’s Day chocolate. Ash Wednesday a day of fasting. What to do? A friend in the clergy has said more than once that it is ok to celebrate festivals that occur in Lent. So, have some chocolate. And fast tomorrow and get ready for the Friday Lenten Soup Supper. (last year the rector’s wife told me that my French Onion soup was not “Particularly Lenten enough.” This year the Mrs, a fine upstanding Scotswoman, will be making her Cock-A-Leekie, but without the chicken. We’ll probably get the same comment. Next year it’ll be just a gallon of hot water and a bullion cube.)
