Still have the small California Raisins figurines from Hardees. A promotion for Raisin breakfast muffins, or something similar. “Ooooh, I heard it on the Grapevine..”
I saw a little one at the store the other day. They had on a really cool galaxy print jacket. I told the grandma that I wish they made them in adult size.
I had the California Raisins CDs. The first one was amazing: at the risk of alienating everyone in the world, have to admit to liking some of the covers better than the originals.
Getting old ain’t for the weak, but it can be lots of fun if you want. Especially the part where you tell the same stories over and over and nobody can say anything about it without seeming rude, but if they do you can just say “I’m old. You HAVE to listen DON’T THINK I DON’T SEE YOU ROLLING YOUR EYES!” You get to not hear anything you don’t want to hear (WHAT’S THAT YOU SAID? SORRY MY HEARING’S NOT SO GOOD ANYMORE!) and refuse to do things you don’t want to do (Sure, I’d love t…OH NO! MY HIP!) My personal favorite: wearing fun stuff and not caring if anyone else likes it. For example, a dopey Walmart snowman hat. :)
All these things and more balance out the creaking and groaning. Most of the time. <3

I still have a few of my concert tshirts, the first being a Rush Hemispheres sleeves cut off in the style, which no longer fits.
To quote Billy Joel, “when I wore a younger man’s clothes”.
