I understand Dan. Silent ones have the heaviest loads in their hearts. In this case, I would suggest putting the desk somewhere and moving the window elsewhere.
I can totally sympathize with Dan. In 2015 – 2016 we remodeled-renovated our vacation home, converting it to year round use as our “retirement” home. The Mrs is a graphic artist/book illustrator/calligrapher. We gave her a big corner room with windows, and blackout curtains when she wants them, a closet because she wanted one, and a half bathroom as well (The more important half) And other stuff.
Opposites do attract I guess. Why is it so difficult to envision what I want? I have loads of fabric but can’t decide what to make. I have tons of paint and craft supplies, despite the fact that I keep giving it away, can’t decide what to paint or make… until the last minute when I’m inspired then I have an emergency, accident or urgent alteration job to keep me from my inspired creating..

This is exactly the sort of thing for which one requires a holodeck.

That must be why all my furniture is sitting in the middle of the room…I need a Dan to set things straight for me… until I decide otherwise :-)

Put the desk by the window. This is why curtains and Venetian blinds were invented. Sheesh!

Fortunately our daughter lives close by. When serious decorating questions arise she is always brought in to consult.

Desk should be by the window so you can see the world go by and draw inspiration from. Plus the light is usually better.

4 years later, in the present day, the desk still isn’t back in the office. ☺️
