C’mon. That’s more than just taxiing down the runway. And, for the record, Daily Queen beats Sonic any day.

We have a Dairy Queen in the next town, we’re getting an IHOP but so far I’ve only seen a sign saying IHOP coming.

Go for an IKEA and a Lego store. An Aldi too, if you don’t have one.

You don’t have a DQ?! Now that’s just WRONG! Darn straight you should put that on there! If we were given a survey like that I’d tell them we’re missing Krispy Kreme, Perkins and Friendly’s. And Ponderosa if it exists at all anymore. All of which we’ve had around here in the past but all went away. I can only get to those first three if I’m visiting families out of state.

Of course EVERY town deserves a DQ. What were the city planners thinking?

We have most stuff because the town and environs is about a million people. The problem here is we may have one, but because the town is so spread out (area of over 226 sq miles) that from where I live on the far east side, to where some of the things I want to go are is a minimum of a 30 minute drive and sometimes 45 minutes to an hour. And these things are considered all in the same city. So just because you live in a large city and have all the things you want, you STILL might have to drive long distances to get it.

I hear ya, Amanda. Back in the day, our town didn’t have a McDonalds. We made McDonalds runs by driving for 2 hours to a city that had one. Then, when we finally got a McDonalds, we all went to Dairy Queen instead.

We have a DQ ,Sonic, In and out, Chick-Fil-A, Popeyes, Krispy Kreme, McDs, and a Jack in the box all within a few miles in any direction. What we’re losing is all our old timey greasy spoon type cafe’s.

I could use another Mattress Firm or ten in my neighborhood. I have no clue why people need so many mattresses.

We have expensive ice cream shops within walking distance, but alas, no soft serve at any of them. BUT, we do have an Ice Cream Truck. And she stops in front of my house so I don’t have to walk to get my soft serve twist in a waffle cone, for just $5!
