exactly my feelings…. every time I open my eyes and realize that I’ve woken up before the alarm
What facial expressions! Now, now, how did it happen?
Best to get it done early, it takes the pressure off.
Growing up there were certain ‘friends’ whom upon noticing new shoes would make it their purpose to scuff as soon as possible.
It’s like the inevitable scratch on a new car. It’s just a matter of when.
That’ll buff out.
The first scuff is the deepest. Or seems to be… on your soul.
Converse you’re supposed to scuff. Scrub them around in the dirt, put them in the driveway and run over them a few times, wash with bleach, leave out in the sun, re-do the dirt and driveway, rinse, dry, ready to wear…
Like tomato sauce to a new white shirt- inevitable
When that happened to me when I was young, my Mom would frown, and walk away. Similar reaction, just no volume.
