Sub day was always fun day when I was in school.

As a former teacher and sub, I can attest that the students can tell if you have experience.

Maybe she is starting into teaching and is subbing as a way of gaining experience, or her credential programme requires a semester or two of substitute teaching along with student teaching. Maybe the cartoonist is uninformed as to all the possibilities.

They are too afraid to breathe without permission.

She’s a seen-it-all-before sub. Give it up.
