My, my, my! Most people who read comics are my kind of people. I enjoy glimpsing into their little dimensions and universes. I enjoy their take on the comics, on life and on the world. Most of the time they are relevant to the comic. Sometimes they are about some joy or sadness in their lives which we then can give support. Sometimes just being able to express our views to someone else helps us define our views. Some may not have others in their lives to share these with and, therefore, those friends who comment on the comics become very important. Please feel free to just read the comic and ignore the comments. I certainly feel free to ignore your comments from now on.
As someone who grew up playing football (soccer) and officiated the sport on all levels for over 30 years, Andy’s football strips are my very favorites and I have saved many of them over the years. In fact I have, when I used to teach referees, used some of these, as a humorous illustration of what NOT to do on or off the pitch.Absurd as it may sound, over the years I have observed a lot of Capp-like behavior. Some antics, were they not so egregious, would be truly laughable and worthy of Andy.
A Troll by any other name would be …?Can we say you ?May I suggest that, if you are not a troll seeking reaction and attention, and you are genuine in your dislike of our friendly postings, you should simply read the strip and move on. No one is FORCING you to read the comments !
My all-time favorite soccer Andy episode was one where he’s muttering to himself, “I know I was a bit naughty but did the ref HAVE to send me off?” Then he reconsiders. “Wait, lad, think of all the people in the world who’ve never played you a dirty trick…….there must be MILLIONS of them!”
Yup ! Yeppers. Slept good, even got down a tad earlier. Going over to pay rent soon. Joe brought back some cucumbers, onions, tomatoes and a big savoy cabbage. I will take them to New York with me. I picked up six trash bags full of grass at this one house on my way back this afternoon. Gave all to Joseph for mulch as I wont be doing anything with them. Pulled a few more tomatoes out of my patch for supper. Yummy !
Wow. Lucky you! You leave tomorrow for Buffalo right? I know I’m early but I may not get a chance to say this later on…
Simply Superb Sunday Hugs ((((((( Cappers! )))))))Vancouver is wonderful! So was a visit to a strange (to me only) church this morning. Got invited to a couple of homes, but I had to get back to the hotel to meet my friend Helen. We had an excellent Sunday brunch here at the hotel (Bloody Mary’s and all..lol..) Off to do more sightseeing before we board ship later this afternoon. So glad the hotel is seeing that our luggage is pre-boarded! Cant wait to hopefully see the whales that they say ride by the ship on the way up. Gweedo, enjoy your trip to New York. Hope all goes well for Ed. He sounds like a great guy. Take care everyone!I refuse to lower myself to respond to Pro. A$$.. er Danglais…
I repeat IGNORE TROLLS. and they will go away. Responding to them or even acknowledging their existence only encourages them..BTW: Welcome back No. 6 from wherever you’ve been. Are you a Glaswegon now?
@beviekI had a step-brother like that. He drank, smoked, never worked or worked out, but could outrun, out-fight, or out jump anyone else. Then one day, he just expired. He will be missed.

@Prof danglais, you have hit the nail on the head. This is not a personal message service or bulletin board.
That said, the comic strip is self-explanatory. What relevant comment could one make?Nachikethass over 12 years ago
Not reading the comments COULD be an option – just saying…

In Andy’s defense, the rules are a little confusing…
One of Andy’s rules is that a foul unseen is not a foul…
Despite everything else, Andy does have great ball handling skills…

Every life is a story and in reading the comments here I get teasing fragments of many stories.
I don’t know why it is more so here than for other strips, it must be something about Andy and Flo that brings it out in their readers.Fan o’ Lio. over 12 years ago
