Today’s strip was actually funny for a change! But as Sandfan reminds us, you just can’t beat the classics. (I wonder if the modern team has ever once looked at any of the classics?)
This One has a look more like a Film Storyboard, but even with the harsh ‘Gutters’ the action spills-over. One can ‘wander’ about This.Special Sunday Extra
Blissful Sunday Hugs ((((((( CAPPERS ! )))))))As I type this I am seeing snowflakes the size of tennis balls falling outside my window. Someone please tell me how we in Many Snows to Ya (Minnesota) ticked Mother Nature off and then how to appease her…Pretty Please?!?!
I am bowing out as a poster of comments for our Mystery Commenter. If any of you want to volunteer for the job you can contact him at gheavern@yahoo.com.
. . .sorry about impinging on yer Forum, Applebonk. it won’t happen again, until the next time. musta been distracted by some Sparkly stuff stuff. Stuff? yeah meant that; wasn’t looking at yer soft porn site, or anything.
@Number SixNo “Mad Capps” today? I’m disappointed, because THEY at least are always exciting people!\leftover @Chalkie J from yesterdayI’m a huge fan of James Thurber (and easily able to concede that he’s the best American humorist since Mark Twain), yet I wouldn’t call his drawings the least bit like Mark. Whereas Pogo, with the dialect, the slow build-ups, the overall interplay of the characters, does seem to me to be very like some of Mark’s sketches that he liked to hide in his travel books. (I get the feeling that Thurber’s cartoons might just remind Mark of a San Francisco opium den!)

oh and Seiko, if you mean in the first panel, the movement lines are for Jackie’s hand pulling the draft beer lever, not his mouth

You want excitement, crumpet? Andy’s got it…
Andy seems to meet a lot of sharp tongued women…
On the other hand, a lot of barmaids know a good thing when they see it…

Give it up, Andy! You’re not as young as you used to be. Besides, you already have a lovely wife who you DON’T deserve!
Andy’s face is a picture in the last panel.
