It’s amazing to me how many funny strips involve the canal, when Hartlepool does not and never has had a canal. Just another example of a brilliant flight of imagination by the master…

The extra panels are to build the suspense. C’mon, you were in suspense – right? This one made me laugh.

The extra panels didn’t really add suspense, but it does add to the episode if we know the unseen speaker is Flo’s mum instead of a neighbor (or the Vicar……….) (In Chalkie j’s two-panel re-do, I suppose just sneaking “Mum” in there could create the same effect.)

Remember when Peter Gabriel released aal those Albums with the same Name? He was going for “Magazine” with that concept. Installments. The “Rollover” phenomena makes AC tantamount to a Chat Room in Magazine form [as-opposed to ‘live’ TV/Radio]. Each Dai is new/timely/familiar. It can be dropped and returned-to. yadda natter etc.

I think I know which ‘me’ Avatar you’re referring to. If I’m right then that was taken at Xmas 2011. My weight hasn’t changed since then.

I have to get my height and weight checked whenever I need another prescription for the certain type of pills I take. That’s not going to be for a while yet.

@ Great Gweedos GhostI am in Minnesota this weekend packing. But I am moving to Chicago. I found a great place close to my family, and am in the process of moving. I am finishing tagging the furniture (for the movers) and taking a bunch of stuff to a local thrift shop in the morning. The movers will be here tuesday, and I should be out of here the same day. Not that I am finished here. I still have to go through everything that is left and decide what to do with it. I will probably be back next weekend, but I refuse to schedule myself as it will only lead to foul-ups in said schedule, or at least thats how it seems to work out in my world…lol…BUT…I am NEVER moving again! (and I already miss my house…doesnt seem like mine anymore ya know?)So glad you made it home safely and are back with us.Now if only Number 6 will come home too….

You know, it seems pretty obvious (to me, anyway), that Prof D’ is so hostile because she feels left out, well Prof, IF you’re reading this, dump that load of hostility, and JOIN IN THE FUN; I for one would be happy to welcome you, if you lost the anger, as I can fully understand alienation and what it does to a person; these are good people who are very welcoming to those who are willing to respect each other.

@MikeyjI’ve personally always thought that the certain “professor” assigns her students to ghost-post her whines and cheese. (Of course, according to her, her students are six years old………) In case you didn’t read my admiration for your slam of the ol’ Prof the other day, I think it was brilliant, and more than a few cartoonists could learn a lot from it.

Today’s “Pogo” seems to have disappeared into the ether (or perhaps the “ether/or”………) (Bonus points for those who noticed my typo on an editorial cartoon today. Which nobody on there seemed to notice!)
