The strip matches the horses, slow in the turn. off the jumps, and dead last in humor. Andy needs new handlers.

From an aesthetic point of view, Smythe would have Andy doing the complaining, with the tail of the horses in the background. This definitely calls for a MikeyJ redo.

I’m so sorry, but I don’t find anything to even smile about in today’s strip. A lame attempt. Some may not agree, but………

 Well, you know how the saying goes; even a squirrel-type with no ostensible means of vision will occasionally dig Pay-dirt. Also, that not even Pockets can hold a Hole without summat being taken-away.

@Stagger LeeYour classic about Andy over-ruling the objection is one of the funniest comics I’ve seen in a long time, Andy or anybody. (It must not be in any of the books in my collection because I’m sure I’d remember that one!) If I had an Olde Frothingslosh handy, I’d toast it!/Meanwhile, in other news, today’s strip was one of the worst ever, really bottom of the barrel stuff, and downright sad.

What makes me think Andy made the choices here? I liked the classics better.

I was personally thinking something along the lines of Chalkie trying to comfort Andy: “Yer know what people say, better luck next time.” And Andy replying: “Yer want to help me KILL people what say that?”/@NyukNyuk2000To certain types of cat lovers, I think Garfield would be considered anti-cat propaganda!
