I do believe all fishermen can relate to this one.

The usual way in which a situation like this works out is when you reach for that sandwich ( or a beer ) , a big one grabs your bait and you turn around to find your rod is GONE.

( I know of two people who’ve had that experience, and it almost happened to me at least once. )

We have a cat who stalks backyard birds, except the birds can see her when she’s looking for them and, as long as she’s around, they don’t come out. I’m guessing the fish in today’s strip can see Andy and won’t come out if they know he’s around.

And another thing..that second panel is pretty much meaningless. Many is the time, I’ve had fish jumping all around my line, but they wouldn’t touch anything I threw at them

Luckily this fad of scrolling text (and pictures!) caught on the day AFTER my hangover……….I recall quite a few comics over the years with kind of today’s theme. Like animals creeping up behind hunters, walking in their very footprints. Or animals laughing at the hunters. Or fish converging just as soon as a fisherman has tossed his rod into the water in frustration. Or fish tying lines together………

Gweedo – It’s not like the way it looked ! – Murray said, 5 days ago

At dizzying neck snapping speeds, they are !!! -I am sure that when the calibre of person who would do such a thing gets a higher ranking, you will then undertake the pleasantry of “correcting” that spelling. -And likewise a “Happy” end to the week to you !Cheers for your arm. -I have two of the three raised boxes built for the garden. Heather managed to get a mini blinds cut to 141/2 inches wide. The “box” portion at the top will have to be cut about half an inch narrower to match. I think an inserted block of wood and a hacksaw will get it. New thermal efficient flank windows for the door have been ordered. -Have not had the winter cold/plugged sinus this year. ________________________________________________You are right there. I agree.-My arm is fully healed now. I have my next appointment for Tuesday 24th June, 3:40pm. I booked it the other night. I donate my 8th pint then. After that, I’ll have 100% recycled blood.-When will the windows arrive? You and Heather sound like a great team.-Sorry for the late reply. Hope you have been well and it’s only 2 days to go before it’s “Finally Friday” again.-I’ve never had a cold this winter either.-For now, Happy Wednesday!
