I agree with the barkeeper. Andy ne’er returns his IOUs.

As regards the UK, It costs a lot of money to remain in the EEC yet it would cost us a lot more to leave. The original concept of a Common Market was attractive, but now it’s become just another Big Brother with too much clout.

Was it Samuel Goldwyn who said “An oral contract is not worth the paper it’s printed on?” I’m thinking it was but don’t quote me quoting him in case my memory forgot something…….

An IOU means I will owe you NOT I will pay you.

If Andy says “Thanks, I will forever be in you debt”, he really means it.

Gweedo – It’s legal here !!! – Murray said, 22 hours agoI can hardly expect a gal on the go, such as you, to keep up with the minutiae of my life, although the effort is appreciated. -Mundane lines can take on a stupendous proportion with the right delivery. -Haven’t pulled that flick up yet.

… as a younger gal.-Considering that the Capp lifestyle is limited to a few Schticks in his hometown; there isn’t a wide range of subject matter to cover. Luann gets into a variety of story lines. For the most part, these guys could/should be thankful to Six for ‘starting the engine’.-I have found that they appear to like green the best. With the advent of genetic tinkering those other colors could happen !-Woke up this morning and felt like someone had used my head for a punching bag. Still feeling it. Partly cloudy, windy and chill out. I have a venetian blind for my bath now. Was told not to expect return of spring ’til about Thursday.-Hope you have a terrific Tuesday !Will you be proposing to Mark ? __________________________________________________I enjoy keeping up with everybody’s lives here. It’s fun.-It is a long movie. I don’t know when you’ll have over 2 hours to spare but when you do you should really give it a watch. I’ve watched it a full 3 times. -I think most people in the 1950’s looked attractive with their smart clothes and hairstyles. I love the dresses the women used to wear. -I prefer green apples myself. Trigger is looking forward to seeing you on Thursday. -Sorry to hear about your headache. I hope you are feeling better now.-Nooooo, I didn’t propose to Mark but my appointment went very well.-Even though Mark is a friendly dentist, I’m still scared to go for check ups. I get my teeth cleaned every time I go. It doesn’t hurt but it’s a bit uncomfortable. -I used mouthwash last night and I did again this morning. -May you have a terrific Tuesday too!

@GweedoIn 1943 the US minted steel pennies due to the wartime copper shortage. They did not seem to rust and are now collectors items.(Reply button does not work)

The planes pictured above are P40 Tomahawk fighters flown by the Flying Tigers in the CBI theater in the early 1940’s. (CBI = China, Burma, India). I used to work with one of those pilots and he could tell some fantastic war stories.

When I was a kid we used to see an Indian Head Penny (1864-1909) occasionally. It was copper and same size as now.

So did you enjoy the movie? It took me a while to take everything in about what has happening but it was worth it. I rate Sleuth 5/5.-I was born 9 days before Christmas in ‘94. I’m not sure if that’s a good thing or not but my due date was the 21st which is even closer to Christmas.-Why not write to Lois and ask her for an autograph? I wrote to Lynda Baron when I was 15 and told her that I loved her work on a children’s show I watched when I was little. There was a BBC stamp on the envelope when she sent the autograph. -Glad you are feeling better. Headaches are no fun. I got my first migraine last year. Sigh. Whatever next? -Mark is a great dentist. A sense of humour is a bonus. And he has that bonus.-I don’t use mouthwash too often. Now and again is fine.-See you on the ‘flip’ side!

I need to correct myself-————FANOLIO said, about 2 hours ago@potrerokid1532Iron rusts (oxidizes). Steel is an alloy (mixture) of iron and other elements such as carbon and perhaps nickel. Some alloys of steel may rust. Those with a high nickel content do not rust and are considered “stainless steel”. I am not a metallurgist or chemist, so I am subject to correction.-————It seems that Chromium, not Nickel is the key element in making steel stainless. The key point here is don’t believe anything I say.

Gweedo – It’s legal here !!! – Murray GoComics PRO Member said, about 21 hours ago: @Number SixI virtually know the entire script by heart. How sad is that?

As sad as me knowing every line and verse of Kelly’s Heroes? Or most of the lines from MOST of the tv show WKRP IN CINCINNATI?
