These guys [Goldsmith and Garnett, the writers] are constantly exceeding my expectations. Just when I think they can’t get any worse…

Andy Capp is the only one I really keep up with when I’m not commenting but often I peek at other strips too.-Yes of course I’ll post the links in a couple of weeks. Sigh…. Just kidding!-Any Capper will tell you what I’ve just told you. You really are hilarious. Especially when you rip on my photos. If you were a stand up comedian, I would attend every one of your shows and clap until my hands are sore.-So was it ‘snowing’ in Jack’s house then? Referring to the powder…-Do you like Spaghetti Bolognese? I do. I absolutely love it but I don’t like melted cheese on top of it or too many mushrooms.-I am sorry about Esther. I remember you telling me about her before. I kept meaning to ask how she is but you mentioned that only Sheilah knows how she is. Keep us updated.-Thank you. May your Saturday be super too!

I wasn’t complaining about your postings. You are doing a great job. Without your efforts this would be a pretty boring strip.

I rather liked today’s. When she was done dumping the water on his head, I hope she “smacked him upside the head” with the bucket!

Number Three I haven’t been reading the posts lately. Did you get that internship, or haven’t you heard yet?

Gwedo sorry to hear about your aunt.

    Hello Cappers, and esp. affie!

I think the problem here is not with the Mirror, but the British Cartoon Archive. They’re the ones with the classic inventory, but evidently don’t have the funding to digitize them.

Looking at the caption on the “paddling” strip…

My grandmother always called it a “charabang” meaning charabanc (or coach….you might say bus?)..
