Since that guy is bald as an egg, I’m assuming “keep your hair on” is the Brit equivalent of our “keep your shirt on”.

Anyone notice how unfunny Andy is lately? Reg Smythe is gone, and he took his sense of humor with him. The current authors aren’t up to snuff, sorry to say.

Gweedo – It’s legal here !!! – Murray said, about 12 hours ago

…in North Carolina. -I read Ballard years back in print. I would read it now but I’ve got a full plate as it is. -Yeah. Simpsons has not only been around longer but is less coarse than F.G. -Rowan is your Robin. Simple ! -I think I only stayed after one time in grade school. My favorite times….. I would say certain people I had known in the different schools who I looked forward to seeing everyday and missed them when they were out. Two fave times in high school: Joe Cicatello who I was in English class with, “corrupted” me with weed. At lunch time on two occasions we went outside to the nearby field of trees and toked up. That was fun ! I was in a second semester sci fi class, which I liked. We had to do some kind of thing for presentation to the class. I got invited to work with some boys to make a home style space monster picture.

Mike Lucas [no relation to the famous one, I’m sure] had an Oldsmobile boat of a car aaaaand a friend who lent him a home movie camera. Do-it-yourself movie stuff wasn’t just everywhere and cheap like now, so that was a big deal. We went out on our lunch breaks and did the thing. Without getting further lengthy, we only got a C on it. I suppose it could have been better. I was a very junior partner in the whole thing. I wore my Dad’s Halloween party rubber gorilla mask and emerged from an actual manhole on school property as the space creature. We pulled the lid and I climbed down the ladder a bit. The lid was slightly ajar for me to get it off easy enough. We hung a foil wrapped saucer from a fishing line out the car window and filmed it while driving. THAT WAS FUN !!!-Our winter plows dropped salt and grit. Years later I found out the “grit” was slag from the now closed Bethlehem steel plant at Lackawana, NY.; a not too long car ride from where I lived at the time. -I got a wee shock the other day while testing my lawnmower for spark. It’s not running for some other reason I don’t know yet. Have a spare though. -Shoot ! You’re already in the land of Finally !WAIT UP !!! .What ! You don’t like Chewbungee !?I find it an exhilarating after dinner snack treat ! it has lots of bounce__________________________________________________

Thank you for that link. Charlotte, North Carolina looks a beautiful place. The “Billy Graham Library” looks cute!-Yes! I wonder if Rowan enjoyed Robin’s work? -I only comment on 9 strips a day. I feel that is enough for me. I noticed people at Calvin & Hobbes were asking about Margueritem and Dha Dha from Thailand. I always enjoyed Dha Dha’s comments as he always seemed pleasant and pretty much kept himself to himself some of the time. I remember you mentioning that Marg was doing well but was way behind in catching up on the comics.-So it was Joe who got you into weed. I would’ve loved to see the space monster picture. Bet it was cute.-I’m sorry to hear you only got a C in your movie. As long as you had fun then that’s all that really matters. ‘C’ is a good grade in the UK. The lowest is a ‘U’ and that’s a fail. Highest to Lowest – A*, A, B, C, D, E, F, G, U.-I got 2 A’s and a B when I did Media. It wasn’t an exam. It was just a course. -That’s interesting. On the news some years ago, these people were going to ride to Bethlehem on donkeys like Mary & Joseph did just to see how long it took. I didn’t hear any more about that. I’m not sure if they really went ahead with it or not.-A spare one always come in handy! I used to love riding on the lawnmower when I was little. -Sorry about that. Just too excited to wait.-Where did I say I didn’t like Chewbungee?-OK then. Here we go: HAPPY FINALLY FRIDAY!

RIP George Donaldson 1968 – 2014I just learned that he passed away on March 12. If you are not familiar with him, he was the lead singer of The Celtic Thunder. If you don’t know of them, they are a group of fantastically talented Irish singers. They sing together in close harmony and individually. Ironically, George was a Scotsman. (“Celtic” in this context is pronounced “Keltic”). You can sample some of their work here:(George is the tall guy with a shaved head).

How about a list of comedians that lived to a ripe old age? Sorry if that sounds stupid.Someone else mentioned George Burns, so I’ll throw out Bob Hope.
